Both eCamp & Easter Camp 2020 have been cancelled this year as a precautionary measure to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). This is in line with the Ministry of Health advice that Gatherings of 500+ people should be cancelled

This comes as a great disappointment to our Youth, our leaders & of course to the Easter Camp & eCamp teams who have been working hard since Easter last year eagerly preparing for this year. We totally support them in their decisions believing it to be wise & strong for the benefit of the entirety of our community & nation. We stand behind the Ministry of Health’s decision, again believing they have the welfare of our country in mind. While we miss out on an incredible weekend we also know there will be other weekends & by no means does it slow down where we are heading as a Youth Ministry. We still have so much to be thankful for & not being able to attend EC20 doesn’t negate the Easter story – That we may live because Christ took our place on the cross & conquered death.

 

We are so proud of our Youth who have gone above & beyond this year to make camp an incredible success. We are truly blessed here in Orewa & at OBC to have young people who care enough to not only invite others to camp but to fundraise so that more can enjoy it & get the most out of it. I am truly proud of each young person & their attitude towards EC20. We have grown & learnt through this season. You are a credit to yourselves, your whanau, your Church & to us here at Orewa Baptist Youth & iYouth

Refunds: As per our terms, fixed camp costs will be paid first, with the remaining pool refunded to campers within a period of eight weeks.
