STEP 4

DISCUSSION

Why was it significant that those filled with the Holy Spirit spoke in different languages at Pentecost?

Why is this verse meaningful? Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them.

What are some of the functions of the Holy Spirit?

At Pentecost, about 3000 people came into the family of God after hearing Peter preach. How does the Holy Spirit want to use you to bring people into the family of God?

In Acts 2, the believers at Pentecost were obedient to Jesus’ commands and remained prayerful while being obedient. Take some time to reflect on these 2 areas and how they relate to you currently.

STEP 5

MISSION & PRAYER

Mission:

Contact someone you haven’t spoken to in the last few weeks and check on them.

Is there someone from your work, community, etc. you can encourage?

Prayer prompts:

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you if there are areas in your life not submitted to Christ.

Pray for a burden of prayer to take residence in your heart.

Ask God to show you how He wishes to use you to bring people into His family.

Continue to pray for those affected by Covid-19.
