STEP 1
PREPARATION
Today is a special Communion service.
Take a moment to gather the bread and wine/juice before you continue to the message. If you don't have the traditional elements at home, that's ok! Feel free to improvise!
Our text for today is Psalm 133.

What divisions in the world do you see entering the church (God's people)? What is the biblical response to divisions among God's people?
What do you think about Mark's statement, "If Christians shared the gospel as much as they shared their opinions on vaccination, all of NZ would have been evanglised in a few short weeks."?
The 1st century church would have been extremely diverse as people from different ethnicities, religions, social status, etc. came to trust in Jesus. How did the early church handle such diversity?
How would you define a "psalm of ascent"? How could your understanding of "ascent psalms" be applied to the Christians today?
How does unity occur among God's people?

MISSION & PRAYER
Take a moment to reflect on today's message. What stands out to you most? Write it down and ask God what He's wanting to show you this week.
If you've personally experienced division among your friends and family due to differing views on current events, how might you bring peace in those situations?
Who do you know that's feeling the stress of lockdowns i.e. business/job loss, severed relationships, isolation. Find a way to bring encouragement to them this week.
